History of Atlantis
The Atlantis brand traces its roots back to the early 1970’s, when a group of New England sailor/mountaineers decided to borrow the latest fabrics used in their skiing apparel and apply them to the sailing market, at the time dominated by oilskins and slickers.
Over the ensuing 30+ years, Atlantis has moved around the northeast a bit…from Waitsfield VT to Sag Harbor NY, from New Hampshire to Massachusetts, but the core motivation has remained the same…making gear that keeps you dry and comfortable while you pursue your passions on the water.
The current stewards of the brand have set up shop in Marblehead, MA. From here we have designed a new product line that reflects our passion for the water and our passion for well thought out WeatherGear…stuff you’re going to want to wear afloat or afoot.
